BrandReact was designed not just to monitor the Social Media space, but to monitor the entire Web and to make sure that your company can React to everything that is said about them in an appropriate manner.BrandReact helps people and organizations that want to know what is said about them, especially when it is done at such a scale that it can ruin them.

Big businesses have always hidden behind high rises and fancy suits.  Especially the guys at the top were far away from the general public.  CEOs of public companies were used to showing themselves to the financial press, but never to their customers.  In today’s world that is no longer accepted. Lately we have seen some CEOs showing up, because something terrible happened, that they are in fact responsible for; like Toyota’s CEO and the CEO of BP.

In the age of Social Networking, top-executives are forced to deal with their customers on a daily basis.  What started as an online marketing tool, is now your brand’s personality.  Two years ago people would have thought it would be impossible for big business to engage in open conversation on a mass scale, but today, your brand will struggle if there is no one there to listen.  Lately we have seen a good example of the power of the masses, when they were punishing BP for ‘underestimating’ the amount of oil spilled every day in the Gulf of Mexico.  The masses are capable of completely destroying a conglomerate like BP, when they can organize a boycott overnight, which causes the stock price to tumble and banks to pull their loans.

Listening to customers –and being transparent and honest to them- is not just ‘nice’ and ‘good for business’, but a necessity for every company nowadays.

These messages need to be instilled in companies at the highest level. At board-level this needs to be understood; then the company will act!  After all a boardroom will only act out of fear or greed. The fear of being ruined and the prospect of having happy customers that will buy more products, can do this.

BrandReact’s marketing efforts are directed at the boardroom, because if the decision is not made there to start listening, it will be wasted energy.  Something as revolutionary as actually listening to the customer’s complaints and wishes, is such a dramatic change from the normal way of doing things, that organizations will do anything to stifle the attempt.

Only when it comes from the very top, and it involves all levels in the organization it has a chance to succeed.
